A free celebration in honor of Title IX's 40th anniversary will be held
from 4 to 7 p.m. June 23 at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheater, 200 The
Strand N. Title IX was a legislative milestone that changed the lives of
American women by prohibiting discrimination of women in education and
all federally funded programs, effectively leveling the playing field
for women in academics and athletics. The event will include speakers,
