Your Mindful Heart: A Two-Session, Highly Experiential Course in Mindful Relating for Couples or Individuals
This course will introduce participants to mindfulness-based skills that may strengthen one’s ability to remain more present in the volatile and beautiful field of significant relations. Participating in our Mindful Heart program you will have the opportunity to learn how to gradually cultivate your ability to relate with an awake and compassionate heart.
In this program participants will be introduced to experiential practices to:
- Remain more mindfully grounded in stressful relational interactions.
- Identify “hooks” that entangle one in divisive reactions and relational gates that may lead to deeper connections.
- Bring compassionate awareness to how one’s expectations, fears and judgments can block one’s innate capacity for emotional intimacy.
- Experience a safer ground within one’s mindful heart that allows one to feel less defensive.
- Approach one’s loved ones with a “ beginner’s mind” that can be open to new perceptions and possibilities.
- Participants will have the opportunity to practice their mindful heart skills in the class and in their home practice.
