Shredding Anyone? Free, Palomar College, April 6th

— A free document shredding event, sponsored by the city of San Marcos and EDCO, will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 6 at Palomar Community College, 1140 West Mission Road.
EDCO will also be accepting electronic waste at this event.
Accepted items include computer and television monitors, central processing units, laptop computers, miscellaneous computer components, printers and scanners, fax machines, cell phones and batteries.
Hazardous waste or appliances will not be accepted.
Participants are limited to two bankers boxes- which measure 15 by 12 by 10 inches- per household for shredding.
EDCO also accepts e-waste devices free of charge at the EDCO Recycling Buyback Center, 224 South Las Posas Road. Residential customers may also call EDCO to collect unwanted electronic devices for a nominal cost through the company’s bulky item collection service.
