Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus Collapse - A Jungian Perspective

A Jungian perspective on movie stars and their burning out (eg Justin Bieber) is that every culture and society, needs to project onto someone our fantasies…(think Marilyn Monroe). Projection is not good or bad.
Collectively, this is part of what makes the day to day grind do-able…allowing us to fantasize. But, no one person can sustain all of those projections. And, secretly, we enjoy when they crash and burn.
