The National
Alliance on Mental Illness will sponsor a
Family-To-Family
Education Program for family members,
partners and
friends of individuals who appear to
have or have
been diagnosed with chronic mental illness.
This FREE 12
session program is taught by intensively
trained NAMI
family volunteers. Participation
and all
discussions are strictly confidential. The FREE
course covers:
Schizophrenia, mood disorders (Major
Depression,
Bipolar Disease) and other serious mental
illnesses,
handling crisis and relapse, medications, listening
and
communication techniques, problem solving
skills,
recovery, rehabilitation, self-care around worry
and stress. Sign

is required. Space is limited. The
NAMI
Family-to-Family Education Program
is included in
the National Registry of Evidenced
Based Programs
and Practices.
