Happy 80th birthday to Lily Tomlin. I met her years ago in Hollywood, when she was in a one-person act that she wrote with her partner of many decades, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe. She was so warm and kind and generous (also unbelievably tiny). The modern-day elder is the now - loving these wise creative souls that are living so long and healthy and beautifully.
