Personal Account of Mary Gallagher's Sexual Military Assault

This is a first hand account of a military sexual trauma, written by Mary Gallagher. It is graphic and may be disturbing material to rape survivors. If you have not received thorough mental health treatment, you may prefer to print this article and discuss with a therapist, avoid this "trigger" altogether, or refer to it at a later date.

Mary Gallagher served in the Air Force and Air Force Reserves from 2001 to 2011. She is a plaintiff in "Cioca v. Rumsfeld," which is pending in federal court in Virginia.
